    There is an intriguing place on planet Earth...

It's somewhat on Earth and at the same time - not.

    The primary inhabitants of this place are gnomes, elves, and alchiks. Why are they the primary inhabitants? Because in this place, thousands and thousands of worlds converge, and, of course, the residents of other worlds can also appear here. But not all, not everywhere, and not always.

    The alchiks preferred to call themselves "The Little persons." But since they were mainly occupied with alchemical experiments, the gnomes and elves called them alchemists. Later, the word "alchemists" was shortened to "alchiks," and it stuck. Over time, even in official documents, alongside the official name "The Little persons," the previously informal term "Alchiks" began to be used.

    Since early childhood, the Alchiks—Stefan, his relative Zippy, and Archie—have explored many nearby worlds. Recently, an empire has emerged in Alchia, though to call it an empire might be considered a jest. Formally, all necessary agreements and conventions have been signed. Zippy possesses a unique intuition, sensing items with significant magical potential, be they stones, plants, or something else. Thanks to this and his almost childlike straightforwardness, he managed to assist so many influential figures from other worlds that when the question of the empire arose, he effortlessly garnered the required number of signatures. Important individuals blindly signed the documents he presented to them.

         Michelle and the Talking Squirrels

    Perhaps you've heard about the elder herbalist Dorothy from Alchia and how her magical potion accidentally came into existence. Yes, the very potion that made almost half of the squirrels in the nearby forest start talking. But no one knows that a girl named Michelle helped her with this.

    It all started when Michelle was walking in the park near her home in the state of Iowa and accidentally noticed two tiny creatures. They were Archie and Stefan from Alchia. Michelle was amazed; she had never seen such small beings before, resembling a mix of gnomes and elves. She introduced herself, and they told Michelle that they were returning to their world – Alchia. Michelle, being very curious, became eager to visit this mysterious realm.

    Despite all her pleas, Archie and Stefan refused to take her with them because it was unsafe for Michelle. They bid farewell, but Michelle secretly followed them. When Archie and Stefan had already traversed several neighboring worlds and were almost reaching Alchia, they discovered that Michelle was following them. They had no choice but to take Michelle with them.

    In Alchia, they brought Michelle to Dorothy and asked her to look after the girl. From the neighboring worlds, they brought various herbs and roots that didn't grow in Alchia for Dorothy.     They needed to visit someone else, and they decided to bring Michelle back to her world later, after they finished their business. Dorothy did not object; she was accustomed to Archie and Stefan bringing guests from other worlds to her.

    Michelle, eager to help, was assigned a task by Dorothy. She handed her a vial and instructed her to mix a few rare ingredients from the neighboring worlds into the potion she was brewing. The potion, once completed, was supposed to grant healing properties. Michelle accidentally added a different powder to the potion.

    After the potion was ready, Dorothy conducted a test and quickly realized that there was an extra ingredient. She looked at Michelle, who admitted her mistake. Understanding the unintended consequences of the potion, Dorothy decided to turn the situation into something positive. She asked Michelle to pour the potion onto the forest clearing.

    As Michelle poured the potion onto the clearing, the squirrels began to exhibit a remarkable change. Not only were they healed, but also, almost half of all the squirrels in the forest started talking. Michelle found herself engaged in fascinating conversations with the talking squirrels, learning many interesting things about the enchanted world of Alchia.

Grateful for the unexpected gift of communication, the squirrels decided to show their appreciation. One particularly wise squirrel presented Michelle with a semi-magical acorn as a token of gratitude. This acorn, while not entirely magical, held a connection to the enchanted world.

    When Stefan and Archie later accompanied Michelle back to her world, she often gazed at the acorn. To her surprise, the acorn started revealing glimpses of life in Alchia, acting as a magical window to the enchanted realm.     

      Michelle cherished the acorn as a reminder of her extraordinary adventure and the bonds she formed with the talking squirrels of Alchia.
